When we first came to,our cries greeted you.
Quickly,you blew us a gentle breeze,hushing even the rustling leaves.
You guided us on our way,watching us grow day after day.
You became the ground for our first steps and falls,silently watching us learn how to stand tall.
Everyday,you embraced us with the warmth no other can beat,flowing with love upon our feet.
Alas,as we grew,we distanced ourselves mostly away from you.
Some of us carried on our lives without a care,too blind to know you're standing silently there.
