Wow,who knew that even one of the simplest objects often taken for granted in life can have such an adventure, meeting different kinds of people who can be a little clumsy at times. The story is heartwarming and viewers could almost feel the boy's pain when he loses the coin as it relates to everyone going through the same situation of losing something close to their heart. And the story goes on to show that losing that something may not be such a terrible thing,at least,to the person who finds it.Besides this, the actions taking place here just makes it so engaging to watch, like the way the different characters interact with their surroundings(the girl pushing past the crowd to get to the bakery and the boy bumping into a passerby and the festival taking place.)The facial expressions just adds more substance to the story and life to the different characters who react different to finding the coin(the girl holds the coin with two hands, not because the coin is 'big ass' as the fellow below said(haha, good one),but the reason may be more of that she was trying to see if it was the real thing.)Lastly, the sounds and music livens up the whole animation,in the festival scene, for example,it almost makes the viewers feel as though they're there. And to think that not one word was spoken and yet a wonderful piece of art like this could be created, this must have really shown how much effort and time went into it,so fantastic work and hope that there'll be more coming soon!Good luck!

Here's a little fact to viewers:The coin is about 46 years old.It was minted in 1967 and the part where it was later found under the news article about the Little India riot, well, that happened in 2013,so yeah, anyone can go check that out.Oh and also,'Happy 50th Birthday',Singapore!(just in case)

Hey there! Thank you for your constructive and thoughtful feedback! The planning and story-boarding was pretty crazy, to be honest. We had to spend a week or two using a GoPro camera to get proper references. Also, we initially wanted to add some dialogue to this animation as we feared our audience might not understand what's happening, that's why we focused heavily on sound effects and editing.
Regarding the big ass coin, we wanted to introduce a subtle way to show how each character treated the coin, for the girl, the coin probably meant more than just a coin to her(a meal or two).

Very sharp observations. I'm glad you enjoyed the animation and we wanted to also put a little bit of references here and there. Can't wait to see what SG50 will be like this year!

This little animation is a grim reminder that though everyone has the freedom of speech,we tend to forget that we have to think first before talking/writing to/about the other party or occasionally,in a moment of immaturity or anger, our words often hit the other party harder than we sometimes, think.Even if we do realize the 'damage' our words have done,we would probably shrug it off, thinking that the other party has forgotten about it or that it was all a joke and that no apologies are needed. If it's only one person who are using the insults and who has a mindset, maybe it won't be so damaging but if it's a group of 'piranhas',it would be unthinkable, who could actually take in so much hurtful language without ever feeling a pinch? Most,if not all of us aren't immune to insults, sure,we think that those are ONLY words, nothing more and we either fight back or ignore, but what about those other victims who are more sensitive, they will get hit even harder and if they do not have any 'backup' in time, they lose not only their dignity, but their sanity,in extreme cases, and those who sympathize with this group of people, well, where are they at that moment? They are either bystanders' or they're just not there. We,as humans, are equal and should deserve equal respect,no matter race, gender, species(animals need this too!) and religion,so if anyone sees a 'troll going around wreaking havoc' anywhere on the Web,go ahead and stop the damage(report it to the moderator) and help the victim if needed as well.Peace can only happen if everyone just thinks before using words to express ourselves and if we're just angry, just KEEP QUIET,after all, silence is golden.Anyway, good work on this, everyone's gonna need reminders like this, now and then,in this tech age.Keep it up!

Hi MchectorII, I agree with what you said about taking action on the web. We don't have to stay silent when something wrong is happening. Thanks for your review!

As the saying goes,'everyone has to be a critic',some people may find it difficult to accept the truth. This is one example of that, though a more gruesome one than anyone sane enough to comprehend. Can't imagine what would happen if a cop's kid knocked on the door and tell his/her parents about what he/she saw.The lady would probably just say that her husband's just helping out with the decoration by being 'a part' of it,so the moral of the story is that a little appreciation, instead of plain criticism can go a long(and less gutted, sort of)way.Kudos for the effort put in this and keep it up!Have a happy, scary Halloween too!

Wow,the amount of movement in here is similar to that of a busy construction site-both require care, skill and time to create some form of art.Maybe it's true that this is a 'live' video and that some viewers may disagree with this being here, credit still has to be given to the artist who's brave enough to show off one's skills and used quite an amount of effort and time to do it,so kudos to this artist, keep it up and keep them coming!Good luck!

AngelsDead responds:

Thanks..

After chrismass I hope hope to have a better camera/webcam.. and a more steady place to draw.. So that if I record it, you don't see every movement I make in shocks in video itself.

I'm glad you like it.

Sniff, sniff, bravo! Those lyrics really hit the spot, where can songs like this be found nowadays? The lyrics and the accompanying music are pretty catchy and kid-friendly,making this animation not just suitable for the young, but also those young at heart. The pictures are well-done and must have taken quite an amount of effort and time.Good work and hope to see more soon!Good luck!

This really brings back the good old days of 'cartoon violence',albeit a more mature and 'mind-blowing' one with the amount of gore involved, which may not suit everyone's taste for this type of animation but anyway, good work on the smooth movements of the characters and the little 'moral' of the story which is either to respect nature or don't do anything to others that you would not want them to do to you.Keep it up!

Man,this animated piece really brings back the good old memories of simple, yet 'effective' humor. The characters are likeable here through their pleasant personalities(Sarah is still a klutz as shown here like the other animation back in 2012 and Iggy, just being himself and not so nervous here, like in 'The Speech' also in 2012.)The jokes are delivered without trying too hard and being obnoxious at all although not everyone will get the joke or probably think it's too 'kiddy'(which is a pretty usual thing in life-everyone is different like the two characters in this animation, almost.) but they forget that Newgrounds is 'For everyone,By everyone',so this work of yours has the rights to be here with the other types of animation(which is a pretty usual thing in life-everyone is different like the two characters in this animation, almost.)Anyway, kudos to the amount of hard work and time you put into this and you deserve the ratings and the daily first place position for that! And remember this line,if you can't please everyone, you gotta please yourself-Ricky Nelson,so keep on doing what you love and keep'em coming!Good luck!
